Rusty Metal Flowers....Perfect for Spring!

I was lucky enough to miss most of the New York winter this year.  I was able to spend 6 weeks in sunny Arizona....it was even cold there, but I know it wouldn't be nice to complain...30's and 40's was way better than snow, ice, wind and freezing temperatures.

I was in love with all the wonderful rusty metal places in Cave Creek that sell
everything you can imagine, made of metal.
My family took me out there to pick something for my birthday.  This was my pick.

I think this is perfect and I have a spot all ready for it.  It was a bit of a challenge to find something that goes well in a NY garden. It cost as much to ship it as to buy it.  (cost $72.00) a gift from my love. (cost to ship $70.00....well there were a few other things in the box)

The cactus are wonderful and if I lived in Arizona I would surely have several in my garden.

Some of the stuff was more than fabulous....look at this herd of deer!

And this PILE of fencing and gates!

I'm wondering what I will pick next year.....

  1. Hi Linda, you sound like a gal after my own heart! I am careful with the money I have and try to spend it wisely.. non the less I always look for things to enhance our home or my client's as well!
I don't think you sound old (LOL) you just started earlier.... I have 4 children between 24 and 11! Still in the midst of it all!
Spending this winter away from New York was truly a lucky move. It was some winter!
I love those rusty metal things as well. I wish I could find something like an arbor like gate for my garden.
Wishing you good luck with the blog, I promise you will have tons of fun!
I just passed - and forgot - my two year mark!

  2. Oh Boy - that looked like a fun place to shop. Thanks Linda for checking out my blog too. I love the name of your blog.

  3. Thank you both for your kind comments and encouragement....it is greatly appreciated. Linda
